Clue Junior
Clue Junior reimagines the mystery experience for a younger audience, introducing first-time players to deduction and storytelling through an approachable, playful lens. The challenge was to create a world that felt vibrant and inviting—without sacrificing the structure and clarity essential to early gameplay development.
I led the creative direction across the entire experience, shaping a visual system that felt energetic, character-driven, and easy to navigate. I art directed custom illustrations that brought warmth and personality to the cast and environments, ensuring expressive storytelling while maintaining simplified forms and bold readability for younger players.
The two-sided gameboard required thoughtful system design—balancing progressive difficulty with intuitive visual cues. I designed the board layouts, iconography, and component hierarchy to support cognitive clarity and seamless transitions between play modes. Every element was considered through the lens of the child and caregiver: clear, engaging, and confidence-building.
The final experience introduces the Clue brand to its youngest fans with charm, accessibility, and a strong foundation for future franchise engagement.
