Fall 2014. Assignment: look through the dictionary for words you and your peers are unfamiliar with. Design a poster that will represent the word. Can use photography, illustration, vectors, etc. Choose 3 words. Each piece uses photography as the underlying structure, typography as the main elemenet, and vectors overlaying the piece to tie the poster together. Piece is intended to be shown as a series. Calcine - I burned the word Calcine into a piece of wood, set the wood on fire, and captured Calcine in flames using a camera. Cauldrife - I placed the individual letters in water and frozen them. I then cracked the surface of the ice and reconfigured the word.
